...How do we Support the National Guard?
Our Programs

We Care for America
While the National Guard takes care of the citizens of America, the We Care for America Foundation takes care of our National Guard men and women, and their families.

EANGUS Conferences
EANGUS holds a Conference each year. State Associations bid on hosting the conference and the EANGUS membership selects the locations. The 2021 Conference is in New Mexico.

Operation VetCare
The assistance we provide varies on a case by case basis. Guardsmen from your area may be able to assist you with emergency home repairs, car repairs, or similar “hands-on” help.

Legislative Action
EANGUS keeps our membership informed on all matters relating to proposed legislation affecting the National Guard, especially those resolutions referred to it by the ASSOCIATION.
Corporate Partnership
Email eangus@eangus.org to become a partner!
EANGUS enjoys the gracious and continued support of our corporate partners. The Corporate Partnership Program is designed to allow businesses to pledge their support for the citizen-soldiers and airmen of the National Guard. This valuable program has four levels of partnership: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
What Legislation have we achieved?
Tricare Reserve Select
TRICARE Reserve Select is a premium-based health plan for Selected Reserve members (and their families) who qualify, and may be puchased at any time throughout the year.
Early Retirement Credit
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2008 enacted the Reduced Retirement Age for Reserve Component (RC) Soldiers based on Active Duty (AD) performance.
Montgomery GI Bill
The GI Bill provides incredible education benefits for eligible Guard Soldiers. If you qualify, you could earn a monthly expense allowance of up to $384—totaling over $13,500 in a four-year period.
Commissary Privileges
There was a time when the National Guard was not allowed to shop at a Commissary on an Active Duty base. EANGUS fought for those privileges in Congress and won.

What our Members say
Carl J.
SG, Massachusetts National Guard

“When I deployed in February 2010 for my fourth tour to Iraq, my wife and our two children (ages 14 and 11) remained in Abington. Prior to the deployment, we were on and off orders several times, which disrupted my civilian job and our family finances. With the assistance of the Massachusetts National Guard Office of Family Programs, we applied for the EANGUS WCFA Grant and used the funds to keep our home heated and functioning during the harsh Massachusetts winter. Knowing that there is support for National Guard families is a great thing!”
JoAnne C.
SPC, New York National Guard

“My Family received the maximum amount from the EANGUS grant. We were able to get into an apartment after fire destroyed our home on Christmas Day. Thank you so much to the EANGUS “We Care for America” Foundation. We are extremely grateful for the support.”
