EANGUS provides scholarships to select students as a part of our mission to foster educational opportunities for National Guard service members and their families.
There are two types of scholarships available. The CSM Virgil R. Williams and the Patriot Scholarships are paid by EANGUS directly to the school the selectee is attending. The second type of scholarship is presented by specific universities that EANGUS has partnered with. The tabs below provide details for each scholarship along with the requirements, please review each tab to determine which scholarship(s) are the most appropriate for your future, prior to applying. CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship
A scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to EANGUS members or dependents. Total number of scholarships will be based on contributions to the program. This scholarship is for an undergraduate degree, and previous winners can not apply. Money is paid directly to the school you are attending and goes towards tuition expenses.

Patriot Scholarship
The Scholarship Committee is proud to present this $1,000 scholarship that is derived from contributions from individuals, not corporate donations. The number of scholarships will be based on contributions. Money is paid directly to the school you are attending and goes towards tuition expenses. This scholarship is for an undergraduate degree, and previous winners can not apply.

Command Sergeant Majors Advisory Council Scholarship
This year the CSMAC will award three (3), $1,000 scholarships. EANGUS Army National Guard members as well as their dependents are eligible. These scholarships are awarded from the CSM Virgil R. Williams/Patriot Scholarship Applications.

CSU has graciously sponsored two scholarships (one for each a CURRENTLY SERVING Army and Air National Guard EANGUS member) in an amount up to $32,700 for one online degree program. This scholarship will be directly applied to the recipient’s tuition for up to 60 semester hours or 36 consecutive months, whichever comes first. The scholarship covers tuition and technology fess ONLY, textbooks and any other fees are the responsibility of the recipient. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to begin courses within 6 months of awarding.

American Military University
AMU will donate to EANGUS one (1) full-academic scholarship, which may be used as either an undergraduate scholarship or a graduate scholarship at the election of the recipient.
University of Phoenix is pleased to collaborate with the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States to offer a scholarship program.
Through this scholarship program, three (3) full-tuition scholarships will be offered to EANGUS members and their dependent spouses and children. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete an undergraduate or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix campus or online.

2025 USAA Scholarship Funds Requests are now being accepted!
Each year, USAA offers each State Association a $1,000 scholarship to be presented to an Enlisted qualifying recipient or their dependent, at the state level. NOTE: This process is for state organizations only and not individual applicants.
State Presidents must complete the online form below versus the paper forms previously utilized. An IRS Form W-9 must be completed and attached to the online submission or it will not be accepted. A link to the W-9 is also found below.
