Proposes the development and deployment of a modular vehicle protection platform to increase survivability against Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

The threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) has consistently evolved, requiring innovative solutions to enhance the protection of military vehicles and personnel. The existing vehicle protection platforms are often limited in their adaptability to new threats. A modular vehicle protection platform would allow for the rapid deployment of enhanced armor and countermeasures tailored to specific missions and environments. This flexibility is crucial in maintaining operational effectiveness and safeguarding lives in combat zones. Development and fielding of such a system would ensure that the National Guard and other military branches remain at the forefront of vehicle survivability technologies.

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States recommends to the Congress of the United States legislation in support of developing and deploying a modular vehicle protection platform to enhance IED survivability.
