The proposed change suggests that BAH Prorated be based on the member's current home station's BAH 1 rate, with or without dependents, depending on the circumstances. This change would allow members on short-term orders to receive prorated BAH benefits that reflect their actual housing costs, addressing the significant financial shortfalls experienced under the current system.

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States recommends to the Congress of the United States legislation in support of changing BAH II to BAH Prorated.
