Army Directive 2022-06 dated 22 April 2022 provided necessary guidance for Army components to implement paid maternity leave. The Air Force is expected to follow suit, but an expedited process is desired.

Recommendation

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States recommends to the Congress of the United States to provide the necessary guidance to implement maternity leave benefits as authorized in the 2021 NDAA section 603 regarding 12 paid drill periods.
